Jiu-jitsu is a tool for self-improvement
Most people, when they start practicing jiu-jitsu, tend to only attribute one single value to it, for example:” I am going to learn self-defence or:” I want to get fit.” The fact is that people only attribute a single value to it, but there is more to it than meets the eye. It is so much more, and its roots run deep.
The values you gain are tools to deal with all aspects of life. You have already decided that you want to learn Jiu-jitsu, which requires that you show up. It is also necessary to listen to your teacher. Therefore, if you want to get far, you show up and listen to the teachings. You are now, well on your way to creating an underlying situation for being well grounded.
You will probably be frustrated that it is not going as fast as you thought it would, but then you need to keep in mind that there are both bad days, and good days. When you recognize that there is good and bad, you also acknowledge a kind of patience.
You need to keep in mind that patience creates endurance and stability. Remember that an expert is a man, who has made all the mistakes, so if something does not work, try again and again. Practice makes perfect
You achieve strategies for planning a logical progression to your study techniques, yes, you will eventually achieve all the things listed in the top of this page. So how does it feel being you now that you know you can, and will achieve all these things?
So, get started and good luck.
